Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead the development and oversight of structural designs for transit infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project objectives are met while adhering to codes and exceeding safety standards.
- Conduct thorough site assessments and collect data for rehabilitation and expansion initiatives.
- Guarantee the quality of technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports throughout all project phases from initiation to closeout.
- Manage staffing budgets, assignment schedules, and forecasting reports, while monitoring project quality and addressing any concerns related to staffing, work quality, or client satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) and Structural Engineer (SE) licenses, with the capability to obtain additional registrations as necessary.
- Proficient in MS Office, structural design software, and building information modeling (BIM) tools such as Revit, as well as basic knowledge of CAD software like AutoCAD or MicroStation.
- Experience in managing projects and client interactions, with a deep understanding of design codes including ACI, ASCE, AISC, ASTM, and International Building Codes.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in structural engineering with a focus on transit infrastructure projects.
- Proven ability in developing structural drawings, performing quality checks, and managing complex analyses using tools for finite element analysis (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP2000).
- Advanced education, such as a Master's Degree in Structural Engineering, is preferred.
